We must be mad.
After so very sadly losing our rescue Greyhound Little Bud to cancer just before Xmas we have just expressed an interest in a 15 year old cross Jack Russell called Little Rocky!

Hi Julie,

What a diamond you are, how satisfying to give an old dog a new home.

Hi Julie

So sorry to hear about Little Bud; that is very sad. But what a lovely thought to take on Little Rocky. Hope things go well Smile

My son, Ian, completed the BUPA Great North Run on 15th September running for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS). You can read his story at http://www.justgiving.com/ianlukewilson

Bless you Julie for having love to share like this. Hopefully you will stop Little Rocky from being cross!LOL

How are Tilly and Teddy Lyn? Hope they are behaving. Our Teddy came in soaking wet yesterday with a completely black undercarriage. He dried and cleaned himself on my beautiful new bedspread! Grr!

LOL Ailsa-I did word that a bit weird reading it back!

We are just waiting a reply from where he is being looked after now but I'll try and put a link on here. I realize we won't have him for very long at 15 but we feel that as we aren't getting any younger or fitter ourselves it may just be the way to go.

Hope this works http://www.oldies.org.uk/?p=31782

He looks lovely Julie. It will be great for him to have such a caring home in which to live out the rest of his life.

When our current bunnies pass away I want to take on some rescue ones. I was looking on the Greenwich rabbit rescue site- I want them all!!!

Enjoy him!

Forgot to say we've also sponsored a greyhound at Tia Rescue where we got Little Bud from- his name is Jamie and he can't be rehomed

A bit disappointed today as Oldies Club rang us last night to tell us that Rockys foster mum has reportd that he is starting to act very strangely. Apparently he has started to bark constanly-even when sitting out in the garden.
We rang the foster Mum today and she confirmed this and said that she thought that he was showing signs of senility.
Soooo after much consideration we decided that a) it wouldn't be fair on the neighbours or us and b) I think it would be cruel to take a senile dog away from what is familiar and expect it to learn a whole new new lifestyle, i think that's going to make him even worse and Pat said that he could stay there anywhere as she lives in a rural area in a huge field with no neighbours. Also he is living with 5 other dogs and i know from experience that as his faculties go they will take over for him and look after him and become his carers if you like.

Soooo back onto Oldies Club site where we found Kini last night -- looked again this morning and he has been found an adoptive home with someone else!

Went to RSPCA to look at Vincent and he has been rehomed too.

So back to square 1 really!
